An afternoon with Tony Carroll in 60 Seconds.
Tony, born in March 1957 grew up with horses. He would arrive home from school then straight out to the gallops where the stable lads occassionally let him ride the horses back.  After leaving school he was offered the postiton of stable jockey with Pat Taylor whom he stayed with for 6 years.  Then he moved on to Stan Mellor MBE for 6 years before turning free lance.  Over the years he rode many winners, 254 in fact,  including the famous Tip The Wink & Royal Mail.

Tony turned trainer  and ran a stables at Inkberrow for ten years.   Demand for his services grew so he moved to larger premises at Wixford where he stayed for six years and finally moved to his current, purpuse built,  premises at Cropthorn in 2006.  In 2006 Tony had 49 winners, not bad for a stable that adveraged 49 horses housed!
