Tony Carroll

Anthony William Carroll, born in February 1957 lived and breathed horses from an early age. After leaving school he was offered the position of stable jockey with Pat Taylor whom he stayed with for 6 years.  Then he moved on to Stan Mellor MBE for 6 years before turning freelance. Over the years he rode many winners, 254 in fact,  including the famous Tip The Wink & Royal Mail.

Tony has been training winners for over 20 years with rich successes under both codes. He began his operation from a stables yard in Stockwood.   Demand for his services grew so he moved to larger premises at Wixford where he stayed for six years before moving to his current, purpose built,  premises at Cropthorne in 2006 which he owns with his wife Joanne. For many years now Tony has trained over 50 winners each year and continues to improve all aspects of the business.
